About The North
American Cockatiel Society
The North American Cockatiel Society was founded in 1997 by a group of experienced cockatiel professionals dedicated to the education of the pet cockatiel owners and breeders of North America.
Other cockatiel organizations concentrate on the aspects of exhibition, while the North American Cockatiel Society is more concerned with the pet cockatiel. We hope you find that our articles and tips are up to date and informative. The NACS Pet Cockatiel of the Month page is a great place to read about and see pictures of other pet cockatiels. Our cockatiel chat board, Tieltown, is visited by a lot of wonderful and knowledgeable pet cockatiel owners. We also have a Just for Fun page, where you can view the talents of others that frequent our site. For cockatiel breeders, there is an easy-to-understand genetics page where you will soon be able to ask questions of the author. If you have a question about your pet cockatiel, we hope you will visit the Frequently Asked Questions area. Since we are always adding new features, we hope you will visit often!
Our organization publishes a quarterly newsletter mailed first class to its members. It includes some great pet columns, a vet article in each issue, a genetics question and answer column, and much more. If you'd like to join the North American Cockatiel Society, please fill out this membership application. We also have bands available to our members from one of the finest band companies in the United States at very reasonable prices.
