Tielnapped!
| Loopy Lynn and Rumba Russ had been down at the mercantile, buying some of the staples needed for their comfortable, yet simple life - stone ground corn, pellets, and chili peppers for birdie bread, bolts of fabric for cage skirts - just some of the things that everyone in Tieltown bought for their families. |

| Loopy Lynn and Rumba Russ lived a ways out of Tieltown, so a trip in for supplies was an event. They finished their shopping early, and even decided to take time for a frappe at the newfangled soda fountain at the apothecary. It was a wonderful day. | ||
| Come mid-afternoon, they decided to head home - Loopy Lynn wanted to get started on the batches of birdie bread, and Rumba Russ had the evening chores to tend to. Their humble home was a good hour outside of Tieltown, and the early Spring temperatures made for an enjoyable ride. Rumba Russ entertained Loopy Lynn with his Mexicali songs the whole way home. Her favorite, "La Cucaracha" was sung several times during the happy trip through the canyons to their home. |

When they arrived, Rumba Russ pulled the wagon up to the front door, and unloaded the supplies, so that Loopy Lynn could bring them inside and begin baking while he unharnessed and tended to the horses. He hadnt even begun unhitching them when Loopy Lynn ran breathlessly into the barn, tears streaming down her face.

umba Russ grabbed Loopy Lynns hand, and they ran together back to the house. Inside, she showed him that a window had been removed from the back of the house, and someone had cunningly climbed inside and taken Beeker, his cage, his toys, and his playpen. In the place where the cage had always been was a note, which read simply:R

eeker was such a friendly little guy, he would have gone to anyone. A favorite in the valley, and in Tieltown, he had never met a bad person, and would never have suspected that someone might want to do him harm. And now he was gone, and with that terrible person, and Loopy Lynn and Rumba Russ were inconsolable. It was clear to them that they needed a professional to help them.

heriff Cindy was out of town. Fallow Felipe had been captured, and it turned out that he was also wanted for crimes in the East, so Sheriff Cindy had accompanied him there to guard against his escape. Who was Loopy Lynn and Rumba Russ going to turn to? How would they recover their beloved Beeker? The whole town was willing to pitch in and help, but they needed the talents of a very special leader.S
