Recently somebody told me that apple seeds contain arsenic and that they are bad for Louie who just loves his apple seeds. I looked on a list of toxic materials for children and found that apple seeds are on the list. What can you tell me about cockatiels and apple seeds?

Apple seeds, peach pits, avocados and many more foods can be toxic to our
bird friends when they consume too much. Though Louie L. Peck hasn't shown
any ill effects from the apple seeds yet, why take the risk?
Other great treats such as sunflower seed, millet, carrot sticks, apple slices, and many many more are terrific, safe and provide the additional vitamins and minerals that your bird requires.
