I have two cockatiels. They are really lovable. They are brother
and sister, but they don't keep tail feathers could that have anything to do
with the fact that we have them in the same cage? They are about 1 1/2 years
old and I might add that they are spoiled. We give them everything, and
lots of attention. If I if I take one out without the other the one that
isn't getting the attention will really give me heck. Thank you very much for
your help! I am really excited that I found this site.

Brad,
The size and type of cage you have them in could contribute to their feather
problems but a cockatiels playful behavior is usually the reason. If you
have two birds in one cage, that cage should be at least 20" x 20" x 24"
with the bars spaced at 1/2" horizontally.
As these birds get older, you should notice that their feathers seem to look better and for longer periods.
