Hi! My husband and I have two cockatiels. Huey is a little over a year old now and our first. We got our second 'tiel in January and the pet store said that she was about 4 months old then (making her about 10 months now). In watching many 'tiels I have noticed that their droppings are usually frequent and small as has always been with Huey. But Henrietta has always had huge (the size of a penny) droppings and they are not very frequent. I had her to a vet when I first got her but he was not an avian vet (I live in a small town and we do not have one.) Is this something to worry about?

Thanks for your time.
Holly

Bird's droppings contain urine and feces. Nervous birds sometimes produce poorly formed stools with larger than normal amounts of urine. If everything else appears normal, especially the color, the size shouldn't be significant.
