I am considering getting a cockatiel, but this will be my first experience with birds. I have found a male hand fed bird at a local pet store. He is outgoing, social, and likes to be handled. My concern is that the pet store will only guarantee his health for five days. He seems healthy now, although one of his cage mates has bitten a few tips of his tail feathers off. Does such a short guarantee policy sound normal to you?
