We have a 2 year old female. For the last 3 weeks she has screeched incessantly. About every 10-15 seconds. Usually mornings only. She has plenty of food, water and attention. We are at wits end. We had friends in for a few days with their male. Our female started the screeching about 3-4 days after they left. So we bought a male to keep her company. This was fine for the 1st day. Now she's back to screeching. What can we do for her? Thanks for your help.

The incessant screeching is symptomatic of a sexualy frustrated hen and
frequently results in her laying eggs. If she does start laying, try
decreasing the amount of lighting available to her and be sure she has a supply
of calcium available.
