Sunny has been a school pet which we brought home for summer. He is a screecher. He loves to come out of the cage but I can't get him to go back in. I have had to resort to grabbing him by hand and putting him in the cage. He hates this. Do you have any ideas. We are a family with three young kids who are nervous of the bird flying around.

You mention the bird flying around, and we believe that is where you should begin
his re-programming. Have a vet or pet groomer trim Sunny's wings. Wing
trimming is painless and usually sends a message of who's in charge.
Obviously, Sunny finds being out of the cage more to his liking and you need to dress up the cage with toys, swings and his favorite food treats in order to entice him.
The wing trimming combined with tempting treats and your patience should improve your dilemma.
