We will be moving from California to Chicago in a month, and of course we want to take our four cockatiels with us. We'll be going by car, however, we're not how to make the birds the most comfortable during a four day trip. Apart from short trips to the vet they don't have much experience in riding in a car. What do you recommend?

We have taken many birds on trips and it doesn't seem to bother them. We would suggest putting them all in the same cage, that is if they all get along. Limit the toys since the movement could frighten them. Be sure to keep them out of the sun and you may want to take something light to cover the cage. Make sure they have plenty of fresh water and their favorite treats.
