I have a year old cockatiel that I love to watch fly around the house. My husband and I have had her clipped in the past, but we missed her soaring around. We heard that clipping is beneficial...in what way? Yes, she can get bitey and demanding, but she loves to be near people and petted!

There are three good reasons for clipping. One is to assist in taming. The
other two are of more importance. It can prevent the bird from accidentally
escaping and it makes it almost impossible for the bird to fly into a window,
ceiling fan or other hazardous areas.
No one feels this would happen to their bird, unfortunately, it does happen.
