Watch out for items in your household that can present deadly dangers to your cockatiels. These include:

• Open pots of water on the stove
• Toilet bowls with open lids
• Standing bath water
• Pots in the sink filled with dishwater
• Electrical cords near play areas
• Ceiling fans in operation
• Open doors and windows
• Mirrors or uncurtained windows (birds may fly into them, thinking they are continuations of the room)
